September 2002–April 2004
THEME ARTIST AND ART DIRECTOR, KDB PRODUCTIONS
My responsibilities included Concept and Theming Design in the Art Department lead by Kobus de Beer for the aquarium.
My role in the Art Department entailed colour boarding, scenic design (technical and line drawings), and building models of tanks and scenery on which the construction is built to scale in consultation with the marine biologists.
I formed an integral part in the Art Department from the construction phase leading up to the opening of uShaka Marine World.
2004
THEME ARTIST, TSOGO SUN MONTE CASINO
I undertook the thematic concept and design of the hotel’s north facade’s stones and shutters.
2007
I was a contracted Thematic Artist in the Art Department’s Team working on the outdoor water-themed marina resort, recreating the illusion of the lost city of Atlantis-themed archaeological experience.
2005–2020
Ben and I worked closely while I did the layout of his book, Function-based Habitat Design Method, and hand-drawn illustrations and graphic illustrations.
I also did the illustrations and the concept design of FNBR’s animal habitat optimisation and the construction animal-human interface design for, e.g. creating the new habitat for the penguins, seals and ibex at the Pretoria Zoo.
1994–present

Presently pursuing fine art painting, illustration with graphite pencil and freelance art director.
1997–1999
NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN GRAPHIC DESIGN, TECHNIKON PRETORIA (TSHWANE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY)
Completed the National Diploma in Graphic Design.
2000–2001
NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN FINE ART: PAINTING AND SCULPTURE, TECHNIKON PRETORIA (TSHWANE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY)
Completed the National Diploma in Fine Art: Painting and Sculpture.
